Battery trouble
AutoMower 320 (2013 2014 2015) comes with original 3200mAh/18V, Husqvarna discontinued the batterypack, aftermarket replacements can be found at lot of places including Amazon ranging upto 5200mAh/18V
but aftermarket batterys are higher value Ah and might not show correctly on lcd display on the robot mower; look at: 430X Showing 50% Battery Capacity : r/automower

I just dealt with this issue, so I can maybe give a little help. I ended up building my own battery from scratch, but this is essentially how I handled the issue you’re experiencing. My automower has been going strong with the DIY battery for about 4 weeks now…
The Husqvarana batteries use a 4-pin connector (not necessarily in this order).
- + : battery pack positive voltage – red wire
- – : battery pack negative voltage – black wire
- Thermal : a 10kΩ NTC thermistor grounded to negative to monitor battery cell temperature – yellow wire
- ID : a simple resistive circuit to negative that tells the automower what battery is installed – yellow wire.
ID is what you’re having an issue with. Different values of resistance tell the automower which capacity battery is in place.
Prior to 2016, I think, Husqvarna used simpler wrapped battery packs, very similar to the off-brand and Cameron Sino aftermarket ones you’ve probably bought. Back then, the resistance between ID and pack negative was between 12.7kΩ – 13kΩ for a 5200mah pack. When Husqvarna changed to the encased batteries, they changed the resistance to 20kΩ. Looks like the other battery manufacturers didn’t get the memo, because none of them use 20kΩ for any of their packs that I’ve tested. Unfortunately, the old resistance value they’re still using is now identified as 2600mah.
The quickest way to get these to work at full capacity is to identify the ID wire, cut it near to where it goes into the battery, and install a 20kΩ resistor between the ID wire and the pack negative wire. Basically, you’re bypassing the battery pack altogether – just making a 20kΩ loop between the ID terminal on the battery connector and the negative on the battery connector. You don’t have to worry about the rest of the electronics or the pack itself – the ID circuit doesn’t appear to used for anything else – pack BMS handles overvoltage for charging, and the automower and BMS monitor for undervoltage.
Kind of a side note is that after a certain number of charge cycles – somewhere between 1,000 and 1,400, the automower will automatically report only 80% of the pack’s identified capacity. So, for a 5200mah battery, it will show 4160mah when you look in the menu. There’s no way I’ve found to get around this, but it doesn’t impact performance or run times. It seems to be a display issue only. Getting a Husqvarana dealer to use autocheck3 and reset charge cycles would likely be the fix, but it’s just a pointless aesthetic.
